But he did not get this fame so easily. He has struggled a lot for this. Before getting fame, he used to work in Canada to raise funds for music videos. His wife also used to do many things to support him.
Gippy’s wife did many jobs
According to Bollywood Shaadis News, Gippy had told in an interview that he and his wife did many jobs to raise funds for their musical career. Gippy distributed newspapers, made bricks and marbles.
Gippy had said- At one time I used to do three jobs. I was not able to earn much and there are so many singers in Punjab that companies stopped investing and albums became expensive. Every artist used to say that they are talented so where will the companies invest? So this had become a big problem. There was no concept of bringing money from home so I felt that I would have to earn it myself.
Gippy Grewal used to mop the floor
Gippy further said- That is why I started earning on my own. I used to sell newspapers in the morning. Then I used to work for 8-9 hours in a factory where bricks like marble were made. We used to work with cement and it was hard work. Then at night, my wife and I used to do cleaning work. We used to mop the food court, wash plates. When I used to work during the day, my wife used to make sandwiches. The other two jobs were done by both of us together. She used to drive the car and I used to go to deliver newspapers early in the morning. But I enjoyed doing all that work.
